Aim of the Game

The aim of Ambroid Space is to become the most powerful. You must try and get a rank of "Lord Admiral", and then you know you're something. This is no easy task. To do this, you will need to kill people, and rob them of their space AU’s and money, while at the same time use diplomacy to forge alliances and more! The rest of this guide explains everything and gives you the latest tips and tricks!

Seasons and resets
The game resets every four months. This allows new users to frequently join and take part in the game, while eliminating the possibility of someone always winning who can never be caught. Season resets also allow users to develop and plan strategies within the time limit of four months.

The Basics
How to stay up and running! First of all, you have to sign up to an armada. To do this click station and choose one, or make your own. Once you have done this, you have a regular income every hour! Secondly, you have to bring people to your fleet! To do this, go to building construction. The text will tell you how many spare AU’s you have available. You do not really want to have any spare! So check the tip bar, it will tell you what you need to build, though over time you will develop your own strategies for maximum efficiency!

1 Life Support System - Houses 100 people
1 Hydroponic Facility - Feeds 100 people and employs 10 people
1 Launch Bay - Employs 10 people and reduces Fighter, Frigate, Cruiser, Battleship and Dreadnought ship costs per % built. (All Ship classes.)
1 Orbital Facility - Employs 10 people and reduces Frigate and Cruiser ship costs per % built. (Defence Frigate, Frigate, Attack Frigate, Battle Cruiser, Defence Cruiser, Support Cruiser.)
1 Laser Turret - Employs 10 people and counts as 5 DP
1 Reconstruction Bay - Employs 10 people and reduces loss of units per % built

In the H.Q it will tell you how many people are housed/supported, fed and employed. You want to ideally keep these numbers the same for an economical fleet and maximum efficiency!

Now we're touching the good stuff! Build any units at will.
A typical strategy would be to build a unit in the category that is cost reduced (by buildings.) To get further reductions you will have to work out a ratio of other buildings in comparison! You also have to choose whether to play defensive or offensive, and how far extreme! Remember, no-one is completely invincible in the game! Below is a list of what units you have at your disposal when you are just starting the game.

Fighter - 1 AP 1 DP
Fighter Bomber - 1 AP 2 DP
Defence Frigate - 1 AP 3 DP
Frigate - 2 AP 2 DP
Attack Frigate - 3 AP 1 DP
Cruiser - 5 AP 5 DP
Battle Cruiser - 8 AP 4 DP
Defence Cruiser - 2 AP 12 DP

Key Terms

PP - Power Points, the average of your AP and DP.
AP - Attack Points, the amount of your Attack Points.
DP - Defence Points, the amount of your Defence Points.
Pop. - Population/Leader Popularity. Going to war will scare people off and reduce your popularity with your civilians. You need civilians for income, and new civilians will eventually join but low tax rates will speed up the process.
Networth - Roughly your amount of DP per A.U.
AU’s - Astronomical Units of Space.

This is your key to success. It is also very complexed. First you need to find someone to attack. Go to the station page, browse through the stations and find a fleet at your status, or use the ranking page. Next you need to find out their DP. This is roughly their Networth multiplied by their amount of AU’s. Or you can attack them once with none of your own units to find out. Now you have to go to war and send a higher AP than their DP. Once you have attacked, it will tell you the AP and DP and your results. If you lost, look at their DP and send a higher amount, if you have it left! If you won, congratulations! Try not to go to war too much in one day or too many civilians will leave and it'll take longer to get them back. Remember, you cannot attack a user that is under protection either through the 3 day starter protection system, or those that have “surrendered” their fleet.

When you “surrender” your fleet, you loose 75% of its population.
You enter 3 days protection and you do not lose any money or units. Please note that you have to play for two weeks to attain this option.
